Dazzle vs Doom

Casting Doom on a priority hero can be complicated by a well-timed Shallow Grave. While the target is still muted and taking damage, Dazzle prevents them from dying, buying crucial time for his team to reposition or turn the fight. This interaction forces the Doom player to make a difficult choice. The most straightforward response is to target Dazzle directly with Doom, preventing any spells from being cast. The engagement often hinges on which hero gets the jump and which key spell gets used first, creating a game of cat and mouse between them.

This dynamic shapes how teamfights play out. Dazzle's goal is to stay far in the back, out of Doom's initiation range, waiting to react. Doom is forced to either find a way through the frontline to reach Dazzle, or catch a core who has strayed too far from their support. A successful save from Dazzle can neutralize Doom's longest cooldown and a huge part of his contribution. But if Doom finds and silences Dazzle at the start, the fight is often won for his team. The slight advantage leans toward Dazzle, who generally gets to play reactively.
