Dazzle vs Tusk

How this matchup plays

Picking a support to counter an enemy Tusk often leads to Dazzle. The reason is straightforward: Tusk dedicates all his resources to bursting down a single hero with his gank combo. A well-timed Shallow Grave completely negates this entire sequence, leaving Tusk exposed and his key spells on cooldown. The target he tried to kill is still alive, and now Dazzle can begin healing his team and slowing Tusk's escape. It turns Tusk's primary strength into a liability, forcing him to overextend for a kill he can't secure.

Throughout the game, this dynamic forces the Tusk player to adapt. He can no longer confidently solo-kill targets near Dazzle. His options become either trying to bait the Grave on a less critical hero or committing his team to killing Dazzle first before initiating on anyone else. For the Dazzle player, the game becomes about careful positioning, staying far enough back to avoid being the primary target of Snowball but close enough to save an ally. This slight edge comes from Dazzle dictating the terms of the engagement.
