Dazzle vs Windranger

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst a single target with Focus Fire gets complicated when Dazzle is in the game. Shallow Grave provides a crucial window of immunity that can completely waste Windranger's ultimate, which has a long cooldown. This forces the Windranger to play around the save, either by baiting it out first or by trying to kill a different hero. The problem for Dazzle is that he's often an easy target himself. If Windranger can land a good Shackleshot on him before he can react, his ability to protect his team is gone.

This interaction tends to slow down Windranger's momentum. She relies on getting key pickoffs to build an advantage, but the threat of a save makes her hunts less reliable and more risky. A failed gank due to a well-timed Grave is a major setback. In response, a smart Windranger will often prioritize killing Dazzle first, sometimes needing an ally's help to get the jump on him. Dazzle's game plan becomes about positioning—staying far enough back to avoid getting caught, but close enough to save the teammate Windranger goes on.
