Death Prophet vs Ember Spirit

How this matchup plays

Getting silenced is a nightmare for Ember Spirit, since it stops him from using remnants to escape. Death Prophet can use this to try and lock him down for her team and her ultimate. The problem is actually hitting him. A sharp Ember can often dodge the silence projectile with Sleight of Fist or simply place a remnant and escape before the silence even takes effect. It becomes a game of cat and mouse where timing is everything, with neither hero having a clear upper hand in the direct interaction.

Later on, Death Prophet wants to group with her team and push towers with Exorcism, creating a five-on-five scenario Ember doesn't love. Ember's plan is the opposite; he wants to split the map, apply pressure, and look for pickoffs on isolated heroes. The matchup often comes down to which team better enables their mid laner's strategy. If DP can't force fights, Ember gets to control the map's tempo. If Ember gets caught out of position, his team loses key mobility and damage.
