Death Prophet vs Lifestealer

How this matchup plays

Trying to control a teamfight with Silence or Spirit Siphon becomes difficult when Lifestealer can simply use Rage to walk through them. This immunity to Death Prophet's core spells allows him to close the distance and start attacking when she is most vulnerable. Since Death Prophet often builds items that grant high health to survive during Exorcism, Lifestealer benefits even more. He can sustain himself by attacking the tanky target, often healing through a significant amount of the physical damage from her ghosts while he brings her down.

The game often becomes a test of cooldowns and positioning. Death Prophet needs to bait out Rage and then kite with her team's help, or purchase specific items like a Ghost Scepter to survive him. Lifestealer has a more straightforward plan: wait for Death Prophet to appear, then use Rage to get on top of her and stay there. If her allies can't peel him off, Lifestealer can often neutralize her before Exorcism turns the fight, creating a small but consistent opening for his team.
