Death Prophet vs Magnus

How this matchup plays

Catching an ulting Death Prophet with Reverse Polarity seems like a clean answer, but the interaction isn't that simple. While a successful RP can clump her up for an easy kill and neutralize Exorcism, Magnus has to worry about her Silence. A well-placed Silence from Death Prophet completely shuts down his initiation, leaving him unable to cast his ultimate or Skewer away. The fight often hinges on which of these two key spells lands first, creating a tense standoff where neither hero has a clear upper hand.

As the game goes on, this duel of cooldowns defines the teamfights. Magnus will hunt for an opening from the fog, trying to land a multi-hero RP that includes the Prophet. In response, Death Prophet has to play carefully, often waiting for Magnus to show himself or using her team as a screen before committing with her own spells. A timely BKB on either hero can swing a fight, but fundamentally, victory tends to go to the player who better anticipates the other's positioning and executes first.
