Death Prophet vs Void Spirit

How this matchup plays

Fighting a Death Prophet often means committing to a brawl, but Void Spirit's entire kit is built to avoid that. He can easily use his mobility to stay outside the effective range of her Exorcism, or to disengage if she tries to drain him with Spirit Siphon. The matchup often hinges on Death Prophet's Silence. If she can land it, Void Spirit is completely vulnerable and easy to run down. However, Void Spirit is mobile enough to play around it, looking for a quick pick-off on a different target or bursting Death Prophet from an unexpected angle before she can react.

This creates a constant struggle for tempo. Death Prophet wants to group early, forcing fights around towers where her ultimate shines and Void Spirit has fewer angles of attack. Her goal is to create a deathball that he can't safely approach. In response, Void Spirit's team will try to split the map, forcing rotations and creating chances for him to find an isolated kill. Neither hero has a clear upper hand; it comes down to which team better executes their strategy and forces the other to fight on unfavorable terms.
