Death Prophet vs Zeus

How this matchup plays

Pushing towers or even farming the lane becomes a chore for Death Prophet. Zeus can clear creep waves and harass from a distance where she has no answer, forcing her to risk taking heavy damage every time she steps forward. To use her Spirit Siphon effectively, Death Prophet has to get close, which is exactly what Zeus wants. His entire spell kit is built for bursting down a single target, and his Static Field passive punishes her for simply existing in a fight where he's casting. She is a sustained-damage hero who needs time, but Zeus rarely gives it to her.

This dynamic defuses Death Prophet’s main power spike. Her plan is always to group up with her team and force objectives with Exorcism, but Zeus is exceptional at punishing this strategy. He can defend towers from the backline, chipping away at everyone's health and making the push unsustainable. Even before a fight begins, Thundergod's Wrath can soften up the entire team, making an initiation very risky. For Death Prophet to win, she needs a perfect jump to Silence Zeus, while he only needs to stay back and press his buttons to be effective.
