Disruptor vs Ember Spirit

How this matchup plays

Catching an Ember Spirit is the ultimate goal for a Disruptor, but it's rarely simple. The entire lockdown combo of Glimpse into Kinetic Field and Static Storm is designed to kill elusive heroes. If it lands, a silenced Ember Spirit has no way to cast Activate Fire Remnant and is a sitting duck. The matchup hinges on Ember's ability to avoid this. With a Fire Remnant already placed, he can often escape the instant he's Glimpsed back, before the Field or Storm can trap him. Sleight of Fist can also be used with precise timing to dodge spells or buy a precious moment for cooldowns, making him a slippery target.

Teamfights become very tense between these two heroes. Ember Spirit has to play cautiously, unable to freely jump on the backline while Disruptor holds his spells. He might need to bait out the Glimpse or wait for an ally to initiate first. Conversely, if Ember can find and burst down Disruptor at the start of a fight, his team loses its primary method of controlling him. Success often comes down to which player has better positioning and anticipation, as a single misstep on either side usually decides who wins the engagement.
