Disruptor vs Lich

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst a target caught by Glimpse often feels ineffective against Lich. His Frost Shield can be cast instantly on the threatened ally, reducing incoming physical damage and slowing anyone trying to help secure the kill inside the Kinetic Field. This protection can be enough to let the target walk out of Static Storm alive. The same dynamic plays out in the lane, where Frost Shield on a core hero nullifies a lot of the pressure Disruptor wants to create through trades and harass. It is a simple, low-cooldown answer to Disruptor's primary offensive pattern.

Across the game, this means Lich can play reactively and still come out ahead. He forces the Disruptor's team to either try and bait the Frost Shield or commit so much damage that they can power through it, which can be a risky overextension. Meanwhile, a well-placed Kinetic Field from Disruptor can accidentally create a perfect multi-hero setup for Lich's Chain Frost to bounce between trapped enemies. For Disruptor to succeed, he needs to find pickoffs on heroes who are already isolated from Lich or catch Lich himself first.
