Disruptor vs Lifestealer

How this matchup plays

Thinking you can lock down a Lifestealer with Static Storm is a common mistake. His Rage ability grants spell immunity, which lets him completely ignore Disruptor's entire combo. He can be Glimpsed back, trapped in a Kinetic Field, and stand in the middle of the storm, but the moment he activates Rage, he simply walks out unharmed. All of Disruptor's key spells—the damage, the silence, the trap—are nullified for the duration, leaving Lifestealer free to re-engage on his own terms.

This dynamic forces the Disruptor to play reactively all game. He has to wait and hope the Lifestealer uses Rage on another teammate before he commits his own ultimate. A smart Lifestealer player knows this and will hold his spell immunity specifically to counter the Static Storm. This often results in Disruptor setting up what seems like a perfect fight, only for Lifestealer to shrug it off and turn on the now-vulnerable support who has nothing left to defend himself.
