Disruptor vs Spectre

How this matchup plays

A Static Storm on the enemy frontline means nothing when Spectre uses Haunt to appear directly on the backline. Disruptor’s entire kit is built around controlling a specific area and punishing heroes caught there with Glimpse and his ultimate. Spectre ignores this entirely by choosing her own point of attack. Even if Disruptor manages to Glimpse her, she's naturally durable and can often survive the return trip. Meanwhile, Dispersion makes it painful for a fragile hero like Disruptor to even target her with spells.

This dynamic forces Disruptor into a reactive, defensive posture for most of the game. He wants to set up kills on overextended enemies, but the constant threat of a Haunt turning the fight makes that incredibly risky. Teamfights become a nightmare, as Spectre will be tearing through his allies while his own control spells are busy dealing with her teammates. For Disruptor's team to win, they have to create an enormous lead before Spectre gets her core items, otherwise she will take over the map.
