Disruptor vs Winter Wyvern

How this matchup plays

A successful Glimpse into Kinetic Field often relies on teammates piling on with physical attacks. Winter Wyvern's Cold Embrace directly counters this plan by making the target immune to that follow-up damage, healing them through much of Disruptor's own magical burst. If the gank is heavier, Wyvern can use Winter's Curse on an initiator, turning the aggressors against their own allies and completely ruining the pickoff attempt. She has a specific tool to defuse nearly every part of Disruptor’s signature combo.

This leads to a tense battle of cooldowns and positioning. Disruptor's primary goal becomes baiting out Cold Embrace or catching Winter Wyvern herself, as she cannot save anyone if she is the one sent back. A well-placed Static Storm can also silence Wyvern long enough for a kill to go through. On the other side, Wyvern needs to play from a safe distance, preserving her spells for the exact moment an ally gets caught. The fight often hinges on which support better anticipates the other's move and executes their spells first.
