Doom vs Kez

How this matchup plays

Thinking you can simply shut Kez down with an ultimate is a common trap. In reality, the interaction is much more complicated. While Doom's ultimate does remove Kez's ability to parry or swap stances, it doesn't erase all the attack speed and damage items he's been building. A farmed Kez is still a threatening right-clicker, even when silenced and broken. The fight often becomes a raw damage race: can Kez's auto-attacks kill a key target before Doom's damage-over-time finishes him off? It’s a messy trade that doesn’t consistently favor one hero over the other.

This matchup is all about initiation and positioning. A Doom who finds Kez out of place can secure an easy kill and create a huge advantage. Because of this, a good Kez player will learn to play around that threat, baiting the ultimate or waiting for it to be used on an ally before committing to a fight. If Kez gets the jump first, he can often tear through Doom's backline before the ultimate even comes out. The game becomes a tense standoff where both players are looking for that one perfect moment to act, and a single mistake can swing the fight.
