Doom vs Mirana

How this matchup plays

Catching a good target for the ultimate is Doom's whole game plan, and Mirana makes that incredibly difficult. Her Leap provides an instant escape, often letting her dodge his initiation entirely, even if he has a Blink Dagger. A well-placed Sacred Arrow can also stop Doom's approach from a distance, breaking up a gank before it starts. Even if he gets close, Moonlight Shadow can be used to save the target he's running at. Mirana has multiple fundamental tools that deny Doom his primary objective of isolating and removing a hero from the fight.

This dynamic forces Doom into a tough spot. He wants to find a lone hero, but Mirana's ultimate lets her team move around the map unseen, making it risky for him to scout. In teamfights, Mirana can stay far in the backline, safe from his reach. If Doom does manage to commit onto an ally, she can either reposition to help burst him down or use Leap to get away herself. Doom is a hero who needs to get a specific job done to be effective, and Mirana’s kit seems almost perfectly designed to prevent him from doing it.
