Deciding whether to pick Doom into a Queen of Pain comes down to how well your team can control vision. Doom's ultimate is a perfect lockdown for a mobile hero, shutting down her Blink and spell damage entirely. Catching her usually means she's dead. However, Queen of Pain is exceptional at playing on the edges of teamfights, using her own low-cooldown Blink to stay well out of initiation range. The confrontation isn't about their kits clashing head-on, but about whether Doom can find his opening before she can see him coming and escape.

This dynamic evolves into a cat-and-mouse game as both heroes acquire key items. Once Doom gets a Blink Dagger to threaten her, the Queen of Pain player will almost always build a Linken's Sphere to block his ultimate.
