Doom vs Snapfire

How this matchup plays

Trying to isolate and kill a hero with Doom becomes frustrating when Snapfire is on the other team. Her Firesnap Cookie can launch the doomed ally to safety, often over a cliff or back toward their fountain. This breaks the chase, buying critical time for the spell to wear off or for teammates to collapse. Snapfire can also use the same ability on herself to escape if Doom tries to run her down, making him burn his ultimate on a support target who hops away from danger. She makes his primary job much harder.

This dynamic forces the Doom player to change targets. He can no longer confidently blink on a primary core for a simple kill. Instead, he has to consider catching Snapfire first or waiting for the Cookie to be used on someone else. Snapfire, meanwhile, plays from the back, saving her most important core from the initiation. She can also contribute significant damage from a safe distance with Mortimer Kisses, making it hard for Doom to close the gap on her team without getting kited.
