Doom vs Spirit Breaker

How this matchup plays

Trying to find a good ultimate target is the core of playing Doom, and Spirit Breaker makes that incredibly difficult. Charge of Darkness creates fights on Spirit Breaker’s terms, often catching Doom out of position before he can act. If Doom is the target, he can be chain-stunned and killed before ever casting his spell. Even if Doom successfully uses his ultimate on Spirit Breaker, it's frequently a low-impact play. Spirit Breaker is naturally very durable and can use Bulldoze to get status resistance, letting him soak the damage and walk away while his team wins the fight.

Throughout the game, Spirit Breaker sets a pace that Doom struggles to keep up with. He can disrupt Doom's laning phase with constant ganks from across the map, preventing him from getting the farm he needs. Later on, Spirit Breaker's initiations are too sudden and chaotic for Doom to reliably counter. The ideal Doom cast requires control and positioning, but Spirit Breaker’s entire kit is designed to shatter enemy formations. Doom is often forced so far back that he can't reach the priority targets, while Spirit Breaker simply needs to click a hero and start a winning fight.
