How this matchup plays

Catching Weaver seems like a guaranteed kill, and it can be. The Mute from Doom's ultimate prevents Weaver from using Time Lapse or any other escape, making him completely helpless for the duration. The real challenge for Doom isn't the spell's effect, but actually getting in range to use it. Weaver's high mobility and invisibility from Shukuchi make him an incredibly difficult target to click on. To secure his ultimate, Doom often needs a Blink Dagger and some setup from his allies, otherwise a quick Weaver can slip away before the spell is cast.

This creates a high-stakes duel in teamfights. Doom wants to jump in and immediately remove Weaver from the fight, while Weaver has to play on the fringes, poking from a safe distance. Weaver’s goal is to bait out the ultimate or wait for Doom to commit to another target. The outcome really comes down to execution. A patient Weaver can outplay a predictable Doom, but a Doom with good positioning and timing can completely shut Weaver down. It’s a classic matchup of a single powerful lockdown against a very slippery target.
