Dragon Knight vs Invoker

How this matchup plays

Trying to close the distance as Dragon Knight is the main problem here. Invoker has several ways to keep him from ever getting into attack range. A well-placed Ice Wall can slow Dragon Knight to a crawl, making him an easy target while his ultimate form is wasted. Even if he does manage to get close, a Deafening Blast can knock him back and disarm him, completely shutting down his physical damage. This combination of crowd control and disarm spells gives Invoker the tools to dictate the engagement from a safe distance, leaving DK unable to apply pressure.

This advantage for Invoker isn't absolute, though. Dragon Knight's natural tankiness means he can often survive the initial spell combo. His main goal becomes getting a Black King Bar and using it to run through Invoker's control to land a stun. The fight often comes down to this timing. If Dragon Knight can force a fight while his BKB is active, he can overwhelm Invoker. If Invoker can kite out the BKB duration or catch DK without it, he holds a clear upper hand.
