Dragon Knight vs Magnus

How this matchup plays

Deciding between these two as your team's initiator often comes down to a coin toss because their core strengths tend to nullify each other. Magnus relies on repositioning key targets with Skewer and locking them down with Reverse Polarity. The problem is that Dragon Knight is often the hero least bothered by being caught. He can typically survive the initial burst damage thanks to his high armor and regeneration, then turn on Magnus with a Dragon Tail stun. Magnus has the perfect tools to isolate a hero, but Dragon Knight is the perfect hero to be isolated.

Fights therefore depend entirely on execution. A great Reverse Polarity might catch Dragon Knight alongside his squishier teammates, winning the engagement outright. A failed one, however, leaves DK free to push down towers with his team while Magnus's ultimate is on cooldown. Dragon Knight’s plan is simple: walk at the enemy and force a reaction. Magnus has the tools to punish this direct approach, but if he can't isolate and burst a target quickly, his impact fades while DK's steady siege pressure remains a constant threat throughout the game.
