Dragon Knight vs Windranger

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst a Dragon Knight often feels frustrating for Windranger. His natural tankiness from Dragon Blood means he can frequently survive a full Focus Fire, especially in the mid-game. If she gets too close to finish the job, a long-duration Dragon Tail can instantly turn the fight against her. On the other side, Dragon Knight has a hard time actually killing her. A well-timed Windrun makes her immune to his physical damage, which is his main output. He basically has to land his stun and hope his team is there to provide the damage before she can escape.

The dynamic stays pretty consistent across the game. A Dragon Knight with a Blink Dagger can initiate and lock Windranger down, but this requires him to get the jump. If Windranger has vision or good positioning, she can use Windrun to dodge the initiation and then look for a Shackleshot to punish his aggression. Fights often come down to which hero has their key ability off cooldown and who has better backup. It's a game of patience and execution where neither hero has a built-in, reliable advantage over the other.
