Drow Ranger vs Meepo

How this matchup plays

Picking Meepo into a Drow Ranger is a high-stakes decision because their kits directly oppose each other. Meepo's entire goal is to blink onto a target, lock them down with Earthbind, and burst them with Poof. Drow, however, is built to handle exactly that. Frost Arrows can kite the clones, and a well-timed Gust will silence Meepo and push him back, buying critical time to reposition. Drow's Multishot also gets tremendous value from the extra targets Meepo provides, letting her deal heavy area damage from a safe distance.

The lane itself is often manageable for Drow, but the matchup is really decided by mid-game initiations. If Meepo finds Drow Ranger out of position, she dies almost every time; he gets in close, breaks her Marksmanship passive, and the fight is over. But if Drow has good vision and positions behind her team, she can use her superior range and slows to dismantle Meepo before he can ever reach her. The fight is usually won by whichever hero gets to execute their game plan first.
