Drow Ranger (Drow) Counter Picks — 7.41f
Who counters Drow Ranger (Drow) in Dota 2 7.41f? Counter picks and matchups for Drow Ranger, ranked by win rate from ranked matches.
Drow Ranger is a positional ranged carry whose Marksmanship and Multishot melt anything at range — as long as nobody reaches her. She dominates immobile heroes she can kite forever: Timbersaw, Tinker and Gyrocopter can't close the gap. Drow is hard-countered by gap-closers and illusions that turn off her passive: Spectre Haunts onto her and out-scales, Wraith King walks her down, and Phantom Lancer overwhelms with illusions. Draft tip: Drow shines behind a defensive front line into low-mobility drafts; never pick her into Spectre, Phantom Lancer, or a Storm/Spirit Breaker dive comp without a save.
In Dota 2 7.41f, the heroes that counter Drow Ranger hardest are Wraith King, Spectre and Dragon Knight — Drow Ranger wins only 40.1%, 40.8% and 41.4% of ranked matches against them.
How to counter Drow Ranger: why these picks work
- Spectre — Haunt drops Spectre directly on the backline where Drow stands, and Marksmanship switches off the moment anyone is on top of her — which is exactly where Spectre arrives.
- Phantom Lancer — The illusion flood gets bodies inside Marksmanship's deactivation range and soaks Multishot, while Drow has no area damage to tell the real Lancer from the pack.
- Outworld Destroyer — Astral Imprisonment removes Drow from the fight on cooldown, and OD simply out-trades her in the long-range artillery duel she is supposed to win.
- Chaos Knight — Reality Rift teleports Chaos Knight and his illusions directly into melee range — the one place Drow's kit stops working — and his burst doesn't need a second window.
