Drow Ranger vs Naga Siren

How this matchup plays

Picking one of these heroes into the other is a calculated risk. Naga Siren constantly threatens to close the distance with Mirror Image and lock a target down with Ensnare. This is especially dangerous for Drow Ranger, who loses a significant amount of her damage from Marksmanship if an enemy gets too close. A successful flank from Naga can neutralize Drow for an entire fight. On the other hand, Drow has the tools to manage this. A well-timed Gust shoves Naga and her illusions away, creating critical space. Multishot and her naturally high attack speed also allow her to clear illusions from a safe distance, provided she has a little help.

The matchup often becomes a contest of team strategy. Naga Siren excels at splitting the map, forcing reactions, and looking for pickoffs on isolated heroes like Drow. To counter this, Drow Ranger's team must group up and pressure objectives, forcing Naga to respond to them. A fight that starts with a good Song of the Siren to isolate Drow usually ends badly for her. But if Drow's team can maintain formation and protect her, her sustained damage can wear down Naga's team and secure objectives before Naga’s illusions can take over the map.
