Drow Ranger vs Omniknight

Thinking Guardian Angel solves all your problems against Drow Ranger is a common trap. While the physical immunity is a major issue for her, the real problem for Omniknight is control. A well-aimed Gust can silence him long before his team is in danger, preventing him from casting Guardian Angel or a key Heavenly Grace on an ally. This silence forces him out of the fight or leaves him as a vulnerable target. Drow's constant Frost Arrows also make it incredibly difficult for the slow-moving Omniknight to position himself for a save or to escape once he's been targeted.

In practice, this means Drow Ranger often dictates the terms of a teamfight. If Omniknight uses his ultimate on a core, Drow can simply kite backward and attack a different hero, often Omniknight himself. The Omniknight player is forced to play predictively, relying on good positioning and vision to avoid being caught by the initial silence. He has the tools to save his team from Drow’s damage, but her ability to disrupt and isolate him first gives her a noticeable edge in most engagements.
