Drow Ranger vs Wraith King

How this matchup plays

Controlling the map against a Wraith King is a huge problem for Drow Ranger. He's naturally durable and his skeletons constantly apply pressure to towers, forcing her to defend unsafe areas. Even if Drow's team commits to a gank, killing Wraith King once is rarely enough. His Reincarnation means he gets a second life right on top of her, slowing her escape and disabling her Marksmanship ultimate. This forces her team to burn through a ton of resources for a kill that might not even stick, while his team collapses.

From the mid-game onward, Wraith King can dictate the pace of the game. He'll often force fights around objectives Drow Ranger wants to be farming near, but can't safely defend. A Drow team has to prepare to kill him twice, which means saving key disables for after Reincarnation. Wraith King's plan is simpler: get a Blink Dagger, jump on Drow, and force her out of the fight or kill her outright. Unless Drow gets a massive farm lead and her team has perfect coordination to kite him, he can consistently run her over.
