Drow Ranger vs Slark

How this matchup plays

Catching Drow Ranger is the whole plan for Slark, but it's rarely that simple. A well-timed Gust will stop his Pounce cold, silencing him and pushing him away before he can use Dark Pact or Shadow Dance. This turns his aggressive jump into a fatal overextension. The entire fight often comes down to this one moment: if Slark can find an angle to pounce from outside Drow's vision, he has a shot. If she sees him coming, he’s the one who is suddenly in trouble, unable to use his spells while she unloads on him.

This creates a constant tension throughout the game. Slark will spend his time trying to set up ambushes, waiting for Drow to be out of position or for Gust to be on cooldown. Drow Ranger’s team has to provide vision and protect her, while she focuses on keeping a safe distance. Items change things, but the core dynamic remains. Who gets the jump on whom determines the outcome, making it less about the heroes and more about the positioning and split-second decisions of the players involved.
