Drow Ranger vs Tiny

How this matchup plays

Watching Tiny blink in to initiate a fight often ends with him getting immediately pushed back out by Gust. This single interaction defines the matchup. Drow Ranger’s silence and knockback completely disrupt Tiny’s Avalanche and Toss combo, leaving him stranded and vulnerable. Even without Gust, her Frost Arrows make it impossible for him to close the distance on foot. Tiny needs to be on top of his target to be effective, but Drow’s entire kit is designed to prevent exactly that, allowing her to keep her Marksmanship bonus active and fire away.

This dynamic forces the Tiny player into a frustrating position from the mid-game onward. His expensive Blink Dagger feels useless against Drow Ranger, who becomes his lowest-priority target despite being a core. He has to hope she uses Gust on a teammate or get a perfect jump on her from the fog with no time for her to react. Meanwhile, the Drow player can position aggressively, knowing her most direct counter has no reliable way to get to her. She simply builds her standard damage and survivability items and safely dismantles his team.
