Earth Spirit vs Faceless Void

How this matchup plays

Fighting into an enemy Earth Spirit is a constant headache for Faceless Void. A perfectly placed Chronosphere can be completely undone when an ally is simply kicked or pulled out of the bubble to safety. This interaction alone forces Void to play differently, as his primary teamfight tool is no longer a guaranteed kill setup. Conversely, Earth Spirit can find it difficult to lock down a Void who can Time Walk away from a Rolling Boulder initiation or a gank attempt. Time Dilation can also be surprisingly effective, slowing down Earth Spirit's spell-heavy combos when he tries to set up a kill.

The matchup often comes down to a positional battle of cooldowns. Early on, Earth Spirit’s active roaming can disrupt Faceless Void’s plan to farm safely. Later in the game, teamfights revolve around the Chronosphere. A successful fight for Void means catching Earth Spirit himself, or at least zoning him out so he can't use his saves. For Earth Spirit, success means staying on the edges of the fight, baiting the ultimate, and being ready to reposition a core the moment Chronosphere comes down. It’s a true test of reaction and game sense from both players.
