Earth Spirit vs Vengeful Spirit

How this matchup plays

Trying to create an opening as Earth Spirit often feels like a gamble against a Vengeful Spirit. His entire game plan revolves around repositioning enemies with Boulder Smash or himself with Rolling Boulder, but Nether Swap is the perfect answer. A good Venge can instantly swap her carry to safety after you've committed your roll, leaving you isolated deep in enemy lines. Alternatively, she can swap you out of your roll or away from your Remnants before you can even land a stun or silence. Her targeted stun from Magic Missile also provides a simple, reliable way to interrupt your combo if she sees you coming.

This dynamic makes early ganks tricky and teamfights a constant mind game. Earth Spirit has to play patiently, often needing to land a silence on Vengeful Spirit from the fog before he can safely initiate a fight. If he can't, his big teamfight setup can be completely undone by a single button press. Vengeful Spirit, on the other hand, wants to stay safely positioned where she can see Earth Spirit's approach and react. The fight often comes down to who gets the jump on whom, which keeps the matchup from being one-sided, but Venge holds the slightly better defensive hand.
