Earthshaker vs Juggernaut

How this matchup plays

Trying to lock down a Juggernaut often feels frustrating for an Earthshaker. Juggernaut's Blade Fury provides magic immunity, allowing him to spin through Fissure stuns and Aftershock tremors, or even activate it to negate the damage from an incoming Echo Slam. This forces the Earthshaker to hold his spells or risk wasting them completely. Because Earthshaker relies on these stuns to set up kills, Juggernaut having a basic ability that can ignore them creates a fundamental problem for him at all stages of the game.

This interaction usually gives Juggernaut a small window to act freely in fights. A patient Earthshaker can still find opportunities by using Fissure purely to trap a spinning Juggernaut for his team to collapse on, or by waiting for Blade Fury to end before committing Echo Slam. Juggernaut has to be smart about when he spins, as getting caught without it available is often a death sentence against Earthshaker's chain stuns. The fight frequently comes down to which hero baits out the other's key cooldown first.
