Earthshaker vs Razor

How this matchup plays

Picking one of these heroes into the other creates a standoff. Earthshaker wants to find a target, blink in, and chain-stun them, but this is a risky plan against Razor. If Razor survives the initial lockdown, he can use Static Link to drain Earthshaker’s damage and completely turn the fight around. A well-placed Fissure from a distance can be enough to break the link and save a teammate, but a full commitment from Earthshaker that doesn’t result in a kill often leaves him useless. The fight often hinges on whether Echo Slam can secure a kill before Razor can connect his link.

This forces a game of cat-and-mouse once Earthshaker has his Blink Dagger. Razor must position carefully, avoiding his own creep waves and staying far enough from his team to not empower Echo Slam. He has the tools to survive Earthshaker’s stuns and kite him afterward, especially with his passive speed. Meanwhile, Earthshaker has to wait for the perfect moment to initiate, knowing that a failed attempt makes him an easy target. Since the advantage can swing so dramatically based on the execution of a single combo or spell, neither hero has a consistent edge.
