Earthshaker vs Templar Assassin

How this matchup plays

Trying to stand your ground as Templar Assassin is tough when an Earthshaker is on the other team. Her Refraction shield, which normally blocks incoming damage instances, gets torn apart by his spell combinations. Each of his abilities can trigger Aftershock, meaning even a simple stun can burn through multiple defensive charges before the real damage lands. Echo Slam is especially dangerous; if Templar Assassin is near any creeps or teammates, the bouncing echoes can strip her shield instantly, leaving her completely vulnerable to both the slam and any follow-up attacks from Earthshaker's team.

This dynamic changes throughout the game. Early on, Templar Assassin can often play her lane without much fear. Once Earthshaker finds a Blink Dagger, however, he becomes a constant threat, able to initiate and lock her down before she can react. This forces the Templar Assassin player to be extremely careful with her positioning, often playing isolated to minimize Echo Slam's impact. Rushing a Black King Bar becomes a high priority, as it allows her to ignore his stuns and focus on bursting him down instead, turning the engagement back in her favor.
