Ember Spirit vs Nature's Prophet

How this matchup plays

Thinking you can trap Ember Spirit with Sprout is a common mistake. Prophet’s signature lockdown does almost nothing to stop him, as Ember can instantly escape with a Fire Remnant. This turns the typical gank dynamic on its head. Nature's Prophet has no reliable way to hold Ember in place, and he’s too fragile to survive the initial burst from Sleight of Fist and Searing Chains. Ember Spirit has all the mobility he needs to get on top of Prophet, while Prophet lacks the stuns or durability to survive the encounter.

This advantage defines how the whole map gets played. Nature's Prophet wants to split push and apply pressure, but this makes him an easy target for a hunting Ember Spirit. Ember can leave a Remnant in a safe spot and then join a fight or push a lane, ready to jump on Prophet the moment he appears. This forces Prophet to play much more cautiously, often grouping with his team and delaying the items he needs to be effective. He can’t create the global pressure he wants because Ember is always watching.
