Trading in the mid lane often feels like a tense standoff. Outworld Destroyer’s Arcane Orb attacks deal pure damage, which bypasses the magical absorption from Ember Spirit's Flame Guard entirely. This allows OD to apply constant pressure to Ember's actual health pool. In response, Ember Spirit must rely on the invulnerability from Sleight of Fist to dodge Astral Imprisonment and avoid being locked down. Because each hero has a core ability that directly challenges the other's, neither can easily secure an advantage without the opponent making a mistake.
