Catching an Ember Spirit hinges on locking him down before he can react. Pudge has the ideal kit for this, as a single Meat Hook followed by Dismember is more than enough to secure a kill on a fragile target. However, Ember Spirit is built to survive exactly this kind of threat. He can dodge the hook with a well-timed Sleight of Fist or instantly escape with Fire Remnant, creating a high-stakes duel of prediction. Ember has to be perfect with his dodges, but Pudge has to be perfect with his aim.
