Ember Spirit vs Undying

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst down multiple heroes becomes a problem for Ember Spirit when facing an Undying. A well-placed Tombstone clutters the fight with zombies, which absorb much of the damage from Sleight of Fist. This dilutes Ember's impact, forcing him to hit weak units instead of the enemy heroes he wants to wear down. The stacking slows from the zombies can also make it difficult for him to maneuver or escape with Fire Remnant if he gets caught. If Ember's Flame Guard is down, a sudden Soul Rip can provide enough burst to finish him off before he can retreat to safety.

This interaction gives Undying's team an edge in mid-game teamfights. They can play around the Tombstone cooldown to dictate the pace and create unfavorable engagements for Ember Spirit. Ember is often forced to play more cautiously, either attacking the Tombstone from a distance or waiting for it to be destroyed before fully committing. While his mobility allows him to split-push or avoid these fights entirely, it restricts his ability to play aggressively around his team, giving Undying's lineup a small but consistent advantage in controlling crucial five-on-five brawls.
