Enchantress vs Shadow Shaman

How this matchup plays

Catching Enchantress with a Hex or Shackles is the whole game here. Her entire defensive kit revolves around her high health regeneration and the Untouchable passive slowing attackers. Shadow Shaman's long-duration disables completely bypass both of those strengths. She can't activate her heal or benefit from her attack slow while she's stunned or turned into a critter, making her an extremely fragile and simple target for Shaman and his team to burst down. The channelled damage from Shackles also cuts right through her regeneration.

This forces Enchantress to play a much more careful game than she'd like. She has to constantly be aware of where Shadow Shaman could be hiding, ready to initiate a gank. It pressures her into building an early defensive item, which delays her own scaling and impact. While a team might normally set up a target for Enchantress to finish with Impetus, here Shadow Shaman is looking to do the exact opposite: hold Enchantress herself in place so she becomes the target.
