Enchantress vs Spectre

How this matchup plays

Choosing Enchantress into Spectre feels like you're willingly signing up for a difficult game. Enchantress is built to survive and kite physical damage dealers with Untouchable and her natural tankiness. Spectre’s damage profile completely ignores this. Desolate deals pure damage that melts Enchantress when she’s isolated at the edge of a fight, which is exactly where she wants to be. Dispersion also punishes her for trying to focus Spectre down. Spectre simply brings a type of damage that Enchantress has no good answer for in her base kit.

Once Spectre gets Haunt, the game changes for the worse. Enchantress can no longer play her own game of split-pushing or farming aggressively. Any time she's visible on the map alone, she's a potential Haunt target. In teamfights, Spectre can instantly close the gap, denying Enchantress the space she needs to kite and build up Impetus damage. The entire game for Enchantress becomes about surviving the first few seconds of a fight, forcing her into defensive item builds while Spectre gets to dictate the engagements across the entire map.
