Enigma vs Legion Commander

How this matchup plays

Picking Enigma after the enemy has already locked in Legion Commander is a classic mistake. The entire matchup revolves around a simple, brutal interaction: Duel is a point-and-click stun that goes through spell immunity, making it a perfect tool for cancelling Black Hole. Legion Commander can wait for Enigma to commit his ultimate and then instantly interrupt it from a distance. Even outside of that, Press the Attack gives her a basic dispel to remove Malefice, weakening Enigma’s control in smaller skirmishes and making him an easier target to run down.

This dynamic warps the entire game. The Enigma is forced to play from behind, constantly worried about being initiated on before he can contribute. He must either wait for Legion Commander to use Duel on a different hero or rely entirely on his team to save him, which isn't always possible. This gives Legion's team the power to dictate the start of every engagement. The burden of execution falls completely on the Enigma player to find a perfect, uncontested ultimate, while Legion can play her normal aggressive game and hunt for kills.
