How this matchup plays

Picking Enigma often forces a decision about how to handle a potential Silencer counter-pick. The matchup revolves around one simple interaction: Global Silence instantly cancels Black Hole from anywhere on the map. Because Enigma has to channel his ultimate to have a major impact in teamfights, Silencer's ability to stop it without needing vision or positioning is a consistent problem. This interaction defines almost every late-game teamfight, forcing the Enigma player to be extremely careful about committing their biggest spell.

Throughout the game, Global Silence is available more often than Black Hole. This puts the pressure on the Enigma to find a window of opportunity.
