Trying to land a big Black Hole against a Skywrath Mage creates a tense standoff. Skywrath has the right tool for the job in Ancient Seal, a long-range silence that can interrupt Enigma's ultimate from a relatively safe position. This threat forces Enigma to play more cautiously, as a telegraphed Black Hole can be stopped. If Enigma can’t find an angle to catch Skywrath inside the spell's radius, his most impactful ability can be neutralized before it accomplishes anything, leaving his team exposed.

The entire matchup often comes down to initiation and vision control. Enigma typically needs a Blink Dagger to have a good chance of catching Skywrath Mage off guard.
