Enigma vs Ursa

How this matchup plays

Catching a primary melee damage dealer is often how Enigma wins teamfights, and Ursa’s game plan requires him to be in the center of the action. This makes him a natural target for Black Hole. While Ursa can’t dispel the stun itself, using Enrage before he gets caught drastically shortens its duration thanks to the status resistance. This turns fights into a tense guessing game. Enigma’s Eidolons can also be a nuisance, splitting to create a swarm of units that makes it difficult for Ursa to isolate and burst down a single important hero.

The matchup often hinges on major cooldowns and item timings. Enigma is always looking for a chance to use Black Hole on an Ursa who has already used his Black King Bar or doesn't have Enrage ready. This threat can force Ursa to play more cautiously, waiting for Enigma to commit his ultimate before he feels safe to go in. The advantage for Enigma is slight because Ursa has clear answers, but being the one with the huge teamfight spell means Enigma often gets to dictate the terms of the engagement.
