Catching Weaver can feel impossible, but Enigma brings a rare form of lockdown that works. A successful Black Hole completely negates Time Lapse, trapping Weaver for its full duration with no escape. This is the kind of control that mobile cores hate playing against, especially since it pierces spell immunity. Even Malefice can be enough to pin Weaver down, interrupting Shukuchi and giving teammates the window they need to finish him off. Enigma’s disables simply bypass the usual escape mechanics.

This advantage is tied heavily to Enigma's ultimate cooldown, which is what keeps the matchup close. When Black Hole isn't available, Weaver has a much easier time, using his mobility to apply pressure and pick off supports. Enigma often needs a Blink Dagger to be a reliable initiator, and a good Weaver can punish this greed before the item comes online. The game becomes about positioning and awareness: Enigma hunting for the perfect ultimate, while Weaver waits for that long cooldown to begin.
