How this matchup plays

Trying to burst down Lifestealer inside a Chronosphere often feels like a race against time. While Chronosphere is the perfect lockdown, Faceless Void needs significant help to kill a durable Lifestealer before it ends. If Lifestealer survives the duration, he can turn the fight completely. His Rage makes him immune to any magic follow-up and lets him run down Void, who can't rely on Time Dilation to create space. Lifestealer's Feast passive also helps him trade hits effectively against a hero who typically builds pure damage items, making the duel depend on whether Chronosphere is available and enough to secure the kill.

The matchup often boils down to which hero dictates the fight. Faceless Void wants to set the terms with a multi-hero Chronosphere, ideally catching Lifestealer without Rage available. A successful Chrono can win the fight and secure an objective. In response, Lifestealer plays around this major cooldown, pressuring the map and forcing skirmishes when Void's ultimate is down.
