Faceless Void vs Pugna

How this matchup plays

Thinking Nether Ward shuts down Faceless Void is a common trap. The ward does punish Time Walk spam and makes casting Chronosphere risky, but a smart Void plays around it. The real interaction is about initiation and positioning. Faceless Void's goal is to catch Pugna himself inside the Chronosphere, often along with the Ward. This neutralizes Pugna's entire kit and lets Void's team destroy the source of their problems for free. A well-placed ultimate completely flips the threat back onto Pugna.

This back-and-forth makes teamfights very tense. Pugna tries to stay on the edge of the fight, placing his Nether Ward in a protected spot to tax Void's movements. If Void jumps in carelessly, the Ward's punishment can soften him up for a quick death. But Void has the initiator's advantage. Once he gets a Blink Dagger or a similar item, he can choose his moment, jumping past the frontline to trap and eliminate Pugna before he can react. This ability to dictate the engagement is what gives Void a small but clear edge.
