Faceless Void vs Timbersaw

How this matchup plays

Controlling the map against Timbersaw becomes much simpler when your carry is Faceless Void. Chronosphere is the fundamental problem; it disables Timber Chain, leaving Timbersaw completely stranded without his primary escape and repositioning tool. Even if he manages to build up Reactive Armor stacks while getting hit, a common Faceless Void build often includes items that deal significant magic damage, which ignores the bonus armor. Time Dilation can also be devastating, punishing Timbersaw’s spell-heavy nature by dramatically increasing his cooldowns if he gets clipped by it.

This dynamic forces Timbersaw to play passively, unable to apply his usual pressure for fear of getting caught. Faceless Void can farm with confidence, knowing his ultimate provides a direct answer to the enemy frontliner. As the game progresses, Timbersaw's attempts to create space are easily shut down, allowing Void to secure his key items and take over fights. The responsibility falls on Timbersaw's allies to provide saves or end the game before Chronosphere becomes an insurmountable problem for their team.
