Faceless Void vs Sniper

How this matchup plays

Catching Sniper inside Chronosphere is usually a guaranteed kill. Faceless Void can close the distance with Time Walk and lock down the fragile long-range hero, who has no natural escape mechanism to survive it. This makes teamfights extremely dangerous for Sniper once Void has his ultimate. The challenge for Void, however, is getting there. Sniper’s entire kit is designed to keep enemies at a distance. With his long attack range and the vision and slow from Shrapnel, he can make it very difficult for Faceless Void to find a clean opening to initiate a fight.

The matchup often comes down to positioning and vision control. A Sniper who plays too far forward or gets caught out of position is easy prey for Faceless Void. Conversely, a Void who has to walk through open ground to reach a fight can be kited and killed before he gets a chance to use his ultimate. Each hero forces the other to play very carefully around their respective strengths. Success depends on which player better anticipates the other's movements and which team provides the right support to enable their core to execute their game plan.
