Faceless Void vs Spectre

How this matchup plays

Farming against Spectre often feels like a losing race for map control. Her ability to join any fight with Haunt means Faceless Void can't safely split-push or farm isolated lanes without risking his teammates getting outnumbered. The core problem, however, is that Chronosphere is not a reliable answer to Spectre. She is exceptionally durable, and her Dispersion passive reflects a significant amount of damage back onto anyone attacking her inside the bubble. This makes trying to burst her down a risky, often self-defeating strategy for Void's entire team.

Late-game teamfights become incredibly difficult for Faceless Void. He's forced to either use Chronosphere on a less important target or risk his team killing themselves trying to focus the Spectre. While Void is occupied, Spectre can use Haunt to reach his backline and eliminate his supports. The path to victory for Void involves his team building a huge early-game advantage and ending before Spectre can acquire her key survival items. If the game goes late, she simply becomes too difficult to kill.
